Security Levels
Fitzpatrick security doors are available in four distinct levels of security protection, each designed to resist specific types of attacks:
Level 1 - Basic Protection
Resistance to attack with hand tools, small levers, pliers, spanners, or bodily force. These are usually relatively noiseless attempts to gain entry by opportunists.
Level 2 - Enhanced Security
Resistance to attack with heavier hand tools, pipe wrench, claw hammer or hand drill where the burglar is more determined and is not afraid of creating some noise.
Level 3 - High Security
Resistance to attack with more substantial and heavier tools such as a crowbar, a small cordless power drill, an axe or blowtorch. At this level the threat is made by a determined criminal who is not too concerned about the noise he makes.
Level 4 - Maximum Protection
At this level the threat is made by a determined professional who uses tools such as heavy sledgehammers, power drilling, cutting and grinding equipment.
Note
The above levels of performance are based on in-house testing. Levels 3 and 4 have a reinforced leaf design to meet the perceived level of attack. For security reasons full details will not be published.
